Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: MLB - Wall pannels 2019 NOTICE: The sourcing strategy relating to this procurement will be limited to suppliers in the area of origin (Eastern Canada) of the vessel in accordance with the Shipbuilding and Repair Procurement Policy. Description Perform the work on Canadian Coast Guard Ship (CCGS) MARTHA L. BLACK in accordance with Fisheries and Oceans Canada - Coast Guard technical specifications entitled SPECIFICATION FOR THE RENOVATION OF COMPARTMENTS FLOORS & WALLS ON BOAT AND OFF. DECKS, CCGS Martha L. Black | Type 1100 NAVAIDS Tender’, and all related drawings and other technical documents. The vessel will be moored at Queen’s Wharf, Section 95, Canadian Coast Guard base, 101 Champlain Boulevard, Quebec City, QC for the work period. Bidders' Conference (Not mandatory) A bidders' Conference chaired by the Contracting Authority will be convened on board vessel NGCC Martha L. Black at 0930, 18th March 2019 at the dock in Cacouna, Qc. It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder attend the Bidders’ Conference in order to review the Scope of the Work required and to receive additional information and clarifications. Bidders are to communicate with the Contracting Authority prior to the conference to confirm attendance. Bidders that do not attend are not precluded from submitting a bid. Bidders are to provide the Contracting Authority with the names of their representatives no later than two (2) days prior to the conference. The Contracting Authority will have an attendance form which is to be signed by the Bidder's representative(s) in attendance. Bidders are advised that any clarifications or changes resulting from the Bidder’s conference and/or the subsequent viewing of the vessel, shall be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation document. Viewing - Vessel (Not mandatory) A site visit will be held immediately after the bidders’ conference. Particulars of the vessel 1100-class Medium size ice-breaker Length overall: 83.0 meters Moulded breadth: 16.2 meters Load draught max.: 6.1 meters Load displacement: 5,006 meters Work is to commence and be completed as follows: Start of work: August 5th, 2019 or as per ship’s availability. (At the earlier date.) End of work: September 30th, 2019 or fifty six (56) days after ship’s availability. (At the earlier date.) This Public Works and Government Services Canada office provides procurement services in both official languages of Canada. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
