Trade Agreement: NONE Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: NOTICE PRIOR TO PROJECT Snow removal - Maurice Lamontagne Institute (MLI) ***This notice does not constitute a solicitation and has no commitment to the future contract. Tenderers must ensure compliance with the conditions described in the tender at the time of publication. *** 1. PURPOSE OF THE NOTICE Inform the industry of the requirements needed to perform clearing and snow removal at the Maurice Lamontagne Institute, Mont-Joli, Quebec. 2. WORK SUMMARY The Contractor shall provide labor, tools, equipment and the necessary protection to proceed to the markup, clearing and snow removal, deicing and cleaning the site. 3. PROJECT PARTICULARITIES - SECURITY Given the particularity of the access for this site, the tenderer must hold, at the time of contract award, a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS), issued by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). Failure to comply with this requirement will render the bid and no further consideration will be given to the possible submission. Also, all members of staff of the tenderer and any subcontractor and its personnel, which could participate at any part whatsoever of the work during the performance ofthe subsequent contract must also comply with the mandatory requirements security. Please note that delays in obtaining security clearances vary, but generally they are between six (6) to nine (9) months. For more information on personnel and organization security screening or security clauses, Offerors should refer to the Industrial Security Program (ISP) of Public Works and Government Services Canada (http://ssi-iss.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/index-eng.html) website. 4. PWGSC SUPPORT In order toobtain a DOS and consequently be able to bid for this project, Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) provides opportunities for interested companies to be supported before the publication of the tender. To do so, please let us know your interest by sending an email to steve.simoneau@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca. 5. FUTURE INVITATION TO TENDER The tender documents, including plans and specifications will be made available for download on the site https://buyandsell.gc.ca. It is planned to launch the invitation to tender in August 2016. 6. COMMENTS Contractors who have comments to make regarding this notice may do so in writing, prior to April 1st, 2016, by sending an email to: steve.simoneau@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca. Public Works and Government Services Canada will take note of all the comments thus formulated.
