This bid solicitation cancels and supersedes previous bid solicitation number W8476-16VMT2/G dated July 12th, 2021 with a closing of September 9th, 2021.  A debriefing or feedback session will be provided upon request to bidders/offerors/suppliers who bid on the previous solicitation.

The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement to modernize the apprentice level Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) aircraft maintenance technician training (CASE Phase 2) conducted at the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Technology and Engineering (CFSATE) at 16 Wing, CFB Borden, ON.

Under CASE Phase 2, DND has a requirement for the provision of Acquisition and In-Service Support of the Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT) suites to facilitate the instruction of the theory and operation of aircraft systems, the troubleshooting of those systems and the performance of functional checks. Six (6) VMT suites are required to be installed within CFSATE classroom areas. 

Under CASE Phase 2, DND has a requirement for the provision of Acquisition and In-Service Support of the Part Task Trainer (PTT) devices which will enable the students to bring the knowledge acquired from the VMT suites onto a physical training platform. The total number of PTT devices will include a minimum of eight (8) Communications Systems (CS) trainers, eight (8) Cockpit Instrumentation (CI) trainers, eight (8) Pitot Static (PS) trainers, eight (8) Navigation Systems (NS) trainers, and eight (8) Automatic Flight Control Systems (AFCS) trainers. 

This bid solicitation is structured such that a Bidder may bid on either the VMT Suites Acquisition and In-Service Support requirement, or the PTT Devices Acquisition and In-Service Support requirement, or a Bidder may bid on both requirements.  Therefore, this bid solicitation is intended to result in two separate contracts, to two successful Bidders, or, this bid solicitation is intended to result in two separate contracts to one successful Bidder.
