The period of the contract is from date of contract award to March 31, 2015. Firm Requirement All deliverables must be received on or before March 31, 2014. Optional Requirement All deliverables must be received on or before March 31, 2015. The proposed bidders must meet all mandatory criteria detailed in the Request for Proposal document. Some of the mandatory criteria are provided below. Refer to the Request for Proposal for the complete list. operate on 120VAC 60Hz. Max consumption 80W; provide data in the following data format: Example: 00 4000 7000 R 01 12 20 0.54 12.16 0 11.4 10000: 00 = Visibility Alarm; 4000 = 1 min visibility average; 7000 = 10 Minute visibility Average; R = NWS instant weather code; 01 = Instant Present Weather code; 12 = 15 min Present Weather code; 20 = 60 min Present Weather code; 0.54 = Precipitation intensity mm/hr; 12.16 Total water sum; 0 = Total Snow; 11.4 = Temperature; 10000 = Background Luminance The data must be available on a user selectable interval in this format. The device must be able to function either in broadcast or polled mode. be pole mounted; use forward light scattering to measure visibility; measure visibility between 10 metres to 20000 metres as a minimum; measure temperature between -40 to +50 Celsius as a minimum; report precipitation rate 0 to 90mm/per hour as a minimum; report accumulated precipitation to 90mm as a minimum; report accumulated snow amount; communicate and be programmable via one of the following formats: RS-232, RS-422 or RS485; have a separate capacitive rain sensor; optics must be heated for all weather operation; operate from -40 to +50 Celsius as a minimum; report errors in hardware via software interface.
