Nature of Requirements: 

The Department of National Defence has a requirement to purchase six (6) battery operated mobile column lifts, six (6) support stands, and an (1) air cooperated tire wheel lift to be delivered and installed at Base Maintenance at CFB Borden, 45 Maintenance Road (Building O-95), Borden ON L0M 1C0 by October 31st, 2016. There is an option to purchase an additional six (6) battery operated mobile column lifts, six (6) support stands, and an (1) air cooperated tire wheel lift.

The bidder must demonstrate that they meet every mandatory technical evaluation criteria in their bid by submitting supporting documentation.  Failure to provide supporting documentation by bid closing date will result in the bid being deemed non-responsive.

Some of the criteria include:

For the column lifts:

• The columns must be compatible with current fleet of Rotary MCH418W mobile columns;
• The columns must be able to lift trucks and heavy vehicles weighing up to 108,000 lbs;
• Equipment must have CSA certification, ANSI/ALI ALCTV 2011 standard.

For the air operated tire lift:

• Must have a minimum lifting capacity of 500lbs;
• Must have a minimum stroke lift of 40 inches.

For the support stands:

• Must have a minimum capacity of 18,00lbs. 

All inquiries must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Authority no later than seven (7) calendar days before the bid closing date.  Inquires received after that time may not be answered.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
