Trade Agreement: NAFTA/AIT/Canada FTAs with Peru/Colombia/Panama Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Attachment: YES (MERX) Electronic Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Gas Chromatograph - ECD System KM061-141096/A Abela, Aaron Telephone No. - (905) 615-2061 ( ) Fax No. - (905) 615-2060 The Environment Canada (EC) Organics Analysis Laboratory (OAL) requires the supply, delivery and installation of one (1) Gas Chromatograph for research and operational purposes. The unit will be used to conduct determinations of trace organic pollutants in air samples collected in the Great Lakes Basin and the Arctic. Gas Chromatography-Electron Capture Detector is the technique of choice for the analysis of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and organochlorine pesticides (OCs). However, some of these analytes co-elute. OAL requires a GCxGC system which can significantly increase the separation power, peak capacity and speed of analysis of these analytes at trace levels in ambient air samples. Delivery of one (1) unit is required on or before March 31, 2015. It is intended to issue one contract as a result of this solicitation. A bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation and meet all mandatory requirements to be declared responsive. The responsive bid with the lowest evaluated price will be recommended for award of contract. Please refer to the Request for Proposal document for complete details regarding this requirement, including the mandatory evaluation criteria and basis of selection. The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
