    REFRIGERATION SERVICES
    
    Requirement:
    The Department of National Defence, Defence Research &
    Development Canada, Toronto, Ontario has a requirement for the
    following:  the provision of all labour, materials, tools,
    equipment, transportation and supervision to carry out
    refrigeration services involving the maintenance, repair,
    restoration, and upgrade for research chillers.  Refrigeration
    services include the provision of licenced Refrigeration Service
    Mechanics, qualified and experienced in the maintenance of MYCOM
    R22 and R23 Screw Compressors providing room temperatures down
    to -50 degrees Celsius, on an "as and when requested basis" for
    a period of 1 year with the right to request an extension for an
    additional 1 year period. 
    
    Mandatory Site Visit
    A mandatory site visit will be held on August 16, 2012 at 10:00
    a.m. at Department of National Defence, Defence Research &
    Development Canada, Toronto, Ontario.  Offerors should
    communicate with Helen Yari, via email (helen.yari@pwgsc.gc.ca)
    prior to the site visit to provide the names of all authorized
    representatives participating at the site visit.  Offers will
    not be accepted from Offerors who were not present at the site
    visit.
    
    Security Requirement
    SECURITY REQUIREMENT FOR CANADIAN SUPPLIER:  
    1.    The Contractor must, at all times during the performance
    of the Contract, hold a valid Designated  Organization Screening
    (DOS), issued by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate
    (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
    
    2.    The Contractor personnel requiring access to sensitive
    work site(s) must EACH hold a valid RELIABILITY STATUS, granted
    or approved by CISD/PWGSC. Until the security screening of the
    Contractor personnel required by this Contract has been
    completed satisfactorily by the CISD, PWGSC, the Contractor
    personnel MAY NOT ENTER sites without an escort.
    
    3.   Subcontracts which contain security requirements are NOT to
    be awarded without the prior written permission of CISD/PWGSC.
    
    4.  The Contractor must comply with the provisions of the:
    
         (a) Security Requirements Check List and security guide (if
    applicable), attached at Annex G;
    
         (b) Industrial Security Manual (Latest Edition).
