The Department of National Defence (DND), Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Borden, Borden, ON, requires the supervision, labour, equipment, transportation and any incidentals necessary for snow clearing and removal and ice control services on eight (8) critical buildings identified in Annex A, Statement of Work.  

In addition, this requirement includes snow clearing and ice control services of roads, parking lots, storage compounds, sidewalks, loading areas, as well as building entrances and exits within DND, CFB Borden property limits on an as and when requested basis. 

The requirement is for a firm one (1) year period with four (4) one-year option periods. 

The requirement is subject to the provisions of the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).

Mandatory Site Visit

It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at 16 Ramillies Rd, Bldg P-154, 2nd floor, Room 235, Base Construction Engineering, CE Contracts Office CFB Borden, Ontario on October 5, 2017.  The site visit will begin at 10:00 AM EDT.

Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than 6:00 PM EDT October 4, 2017 to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders will be required to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders should confirm in their bid that they have attended the site visit. Bidders who do not attend the mandatory site visit or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment and their bid will be declared non-responsive. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
