Title:  Headspace Analyser Purchase for the Toronto Inspectorate
Laboratory.

Requirement:
Health Canada, Regions and Programs Branch, Laboratories
Directorate, Toronto Inspectorate Laboratory requires a
headspace analyser that will be connected to a Gas Chromatograph
- Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS) for the analysis of volatile
ingredients and impurities in pharmaceutical and natural health
product samples that are submitted to the laboratory.

Currently, the Laboratory has a GC-MS equipment that is only
able to analyse samples through liquid injection.  The
laboratory is routinely asked to analyse samples for volatile
organic ingredients and impurities in pharmaceutical and natural
health product samples. This type of analysis requires the use
of a headspace analyser. Due to an increased workload, it is
essential that the laboratory is equipped with a headspace
analyser (to be connected to the existing GC-MS). The request
for proposal is for the headspace analyser equipment, the
software to run the instrument, installation of the unit,
on-site training and all other necessary equipment (cables,
adapters).

The equipment must be in accordance with the specifications
listed in Annex A. If any additional components, peripherals or
supplies are necessary in order to operate the instrument on
arrival at the customer site, these must be included in the
response. The system must be supplied and serviced by a single
company with a proven record of responsive service, and a
demonstrated ability to maintain equipment in the Toronto area.

The complete system must be delivered to 2301 Midland Avenue,
Toronto, Ontario, Canada, by 31 March 2015
