Cadet Training Facility


The Department of National Defence, Regional Cadet Support Unit,
London, Ontario, has a requirement for the establishment of a
Regional Individual Standing Offer (RISO) for the provision of a
rental facility suitable to accommodate up to 500 cadets for
large scale training events, bush craft weekends and sport
events, in accordance with the Requirement at Annex A of the
Request for Standing Offer (RFSO) document, on an "as and when
requested" basis.

The period of the Standing Offer will be for one year from 01
October 2013 with the right to request an extension for two
additional one year periods under the same terms and conditions.

Some of the mandatory criteria are as follows:
- Provide a large area (10 acres or more) to accommodate up to
500 Cadets to utilize as Sports Field, Air Rifle and /or Archery
Range.
- Provide a heated facility or closed-in Pavilion style facility
for protection during inclement weather for serving food to
approximately 120 Cadets per seating.
- Provide temporary storage space suitable for securing up to
500 Cadet's equipment during a scheduled training weekend.
- Provide a Confidence Course and an Abseil Tower, built under
Provincial Building Regulations.
- Provide suitable toilet facilities and/or portable toilets
with hand-wash stations based on a ratio of 1 to 20 for up to
500 Cadets.
- Facility must be located within a 50 km radius from Wolseley
Barracks, 701 Oxford St. East, London, Ontario
