    REQUIREMENT
    
    The scanner(s) will be used for forensic mapping of collision
    and crime scenes.
    
    The following three systems are acceptable by the RCMP:
    
    Faro Focus X330
    
    Leica P20
    
    Zoller and Frohlich 5010C
    
    All systems must meet the mandatory technical evaluation
    criteria - see section 4.1.1.1	Mandatory Technical Criteria
    
    Scanner Requirements:
    
    Laser: 			Class 1 'eye safe'
    
    Field of View:		Vertical 270o minimum; Horizontal 360o
    
    Range:			">" or "=" 120 meters
    
    Scan:			The scanner must complete a normal or medium quality
    scan, including 			images, in no more than 15 minutes.  
    
     Resolution:		Supplier must specify the resolution of the
    instrument proposed which 				must be less than or equal to
    12.5mm at 10 meters.
    
    Range Noise:		0.4 mm, or less @ 25 meters and 90% reflectivity or
    			0.5 mm, or less @ 25 meters and 100% reflectivity
    
    Dual-axis compensator: Must be provided
    
    Data Storage:		Flash drive, SD, CF card, or similar
    
    GPS:			Integrated GPS or alternate targetless positioning
    specified by 					manufacturer must be provided
    
    Controls:		On board touch screen or via WLAN
    
    Camera:		Integrated hi-resolution colour with automatic
    adjustment to ambient 				lighting
    
    Instrument Weight:	 Maximum 12kg (+/- 2 kg) including batteries 
    
    Environmental:	Must operate indoors/outdoors in all commonly
    experienced 					environmental conditions. Upright and inverted
    mounting.
    
    Accessories:	The scanner must include batteries, chargers,
    cabling, tripods/mounts, carry case, 			scan targets, and
    include all other commonly used and necessary accessories for
    			the specific instrument such that the instrument is
    essentially a turnkey operation 			once acquired. 
    
    Software:	Registration software must be included  and software
    output must import 				seamlessly into ARAS software. All the
    scanners must import into ARAS.
    
    		Point cloud registration software must to be included with the
    instrument. The 
    		software must support file formats recognized by ARAS HD
    drawing software.
    
     Subscription License
     (includes support and
     new software
     versions) :	A Subscription License must be included for the
    first three (3) years in the 				purchase cost.  For subsequent
    years, Subscription License must be invoiced on a 			yearly
    basis.  
    
    Calibration and
    Maintenance:	Specify the required  ongoing calibration and
    maintenance intervals and the costs 			for the instrument
    calibration
    
    		Calibration and Maintenance for the first three (3) years must
    be included. 
    
    Training:	Training for up to six operators must be provided
    within 500km of a RCMP 			Division Headquarters:
    
    E - Surrey, British Columbia
    
    Training must be provided in Canada.
    
    Duration of Training:	Duration of training must be a minimum of
    4 days.
    
    Mandatory delivery: 8 units must be delivered on or before March
    31, 2015.

    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
    procurement.
    
    Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
