Description of the Requirement:


Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), Pacific Region, Vancouver, B.C., is seeking the services of experts in claims and/or litigation (Expert), on an as and when required basis, to assist or represent PSPC in conducting the affairs on litigious files pertaining to: 

• Disputes that may occur during the execution of work/services on construction project related contracts
• Dispute resolution processes included in construction contracts with general contractors (Contractor) or professional services contracts with architectural or engineering forms (Professionals) or
• Legal proceedings initiated by or against the Attorney General of Canada or Her Majesty in the context of Real Property Projects. 

(1) PSPC’s dispute resolution processes include sequential steps, from negotiation, to mediation, to binding arbitration.
The Work covers areas of real estate claims services including but not limited to commercial, residential, industrial, institutional, land, bridges and dams, and other types of real property.

Proposed period of contract:

The period of any resulting contract will be two years.  Any resulting contract will include an irrevocable option to extend the resulting contract term by up to one additional one year period under the same conditions.
