Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: If 2+ bids offer Canadian goods/services other bids will not be considered Competitive Procurement Strategy: Best Overall Proposal Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Canopy Handling Course - CFSSAR W0133-19K628/A Large, Kathy Telephone - (250)216-4455 The Department of National Defence Canadian Forces School of Search and Rescue (CFSSAR) is seeking highly qualified subject matter experts (SMEs) to teach advanced canopy handling techniques in support of Search and Rescue Technician (SAR Tech) occupational training to ab-initio Restricted Team Members (RTM) and those recertifying after temporary absence from parachuting. Upon commencement, RTM students will have completed a minimum of 70 static line/free fall jumps into open field and simulated/actual confined areas with and without equipment (CSPA SOLO and possible A-Cop). Refer to the solicitation document for detailed training and qualification requirements. Location Training is conducted for 30 students over 4 training days in the April/May timeframe staged out of 19 Wing Comox in Comox British Columbia. Classroom lectures will be delivered onsite and practical jumps will be dispatched from 19 Wing using both contracted and military fixed wing aircraft. Period of Contract The period of the Contract is from date of Contract to June 30, 2020 with the irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract by up to 2 additional 1 year periods under the same conditions. Firm dates for year 1 are from April 30, 2019 to May 3, 2019 inclusive. The Work or a portion of the Work to be performed under the Contract will be on an "as and when requested basis" using a Task Authorization (TA).
