Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: If 2+ bids offer Canadian goods/services other bids will not be considered Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Amendment History: Amd 001: To publish answers to questions raised during the optional site visit of March 14, 2019. ============== SUMMARY 1.2.1 The Department of National Defence (DND), requires a qualified Contractor to provide food services to its operations at the HMCS Quadra Cadet Training Centre (CTC), Comox B.C. Canada V9A 3W7 in accordance with the requirement detailed in this bid solicitation. This requirement includes the purchase of food supplies and ingredients, cooking, serving to authorized personnel, and clean-up of the dining facilities and equipment. CTC operations are continuous during the summer operations (June, July, and August) with estimated daily requirements ranging between 15 and 750 ration strengths. Food service requirements outside of summer operations (September to May) will be on an as-and-when requested basis, and for a variable number of diner strengths. The period of the contract is twelve (12) months from date of award with the irrevocable option to extend the term of the contract by two (2) additional one (1) year periods under the same conditions. A bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation and meet all mandatory technical evaluation criteria and financial evaluation criteria to be declared responsive. The responsive bid with the lowest evaluated price will be recommended for award of a contract. 1.2.2 The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA). 1.2.3 The requirement is subject to a preference for Canadian services. 1.2.4 An OPTIONAL SITE VISIT is scheduled on THURSDAY MARCH 14, 2019 @ 1:00 PM Pacific Daylight Savings Time (PDT). REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS MONDAY MARCH 11, 2019 @ 2:00PM PDT. REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY. LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. NO ALTERNATIVE APPOINTMENTS WILL BE GIVEN.
