    OVERHEAD DOOR MAINTENANCE
    
    Requirement
    
    The Department of National Defence has the requirement for the
    maintenance, repair and replacement of overhead doors and other
    commercial and industrial door assemblies.
     
    The requirement consists of 2 components:
    
    1.	A firm component for the provision of scheduled inspections
    on an annual basis identified in the Basis of Payment in Annex B
    (Esquimalt - ZONE 1 ONLY); and
    
    2.	An "as and when requested" component for Work authorized
    through Task Authorizations for the services listed in the Basis
    of Payment.
    
    The requirement is divided into two zones - Zone 1, for lower
    Vancouver Island locations under the jurisdiction of the
    Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt; and Zone 2, for locations under
    the jurisdiction of 19 Wing Comox as follows:  
    
    Zone 1 - CFB Esquimalt For the provision of all labour,
    material, tools, equipment and transportation required to carry
    out Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI), Repairs and
    Replacement of overhead industrial doors, aluminum store front
    doors, replacement of bearings, motors and components of
    overhead doors as well as repair and replacement of automatic
    and handicap door closures on personnel doors and automatic
    gates.  Zone 2 - 19 Wing Comox For the provision of all labour,
    material, tools, equipment and transportation required to carry
    out repairs and replacement of overhead industrial doors,
    aluminum store front doors, replacement of bearings, motors and
    components of overhead doors, Repair and replacement of
    automatic and handicap door closures on personnel doors and
    automatic gates.
    Definition of Zones:
    Zone 1 All areas on Vancouver Island south of Parksville under
    the jurisdiction of CFB Esquimalt including but not limited to
    Greater Victoria area, and CFMETR located in Nanoose and
    Nanaimo.  Zone 2 All areas on Vancouver Island north of
    Parksville, under the jurisdiction of CFB Comox.
    
    
    It is anticipated that a single Contract will be issued for each
    Zone as a result of this Request For Proposal, up to an
    aggregate amount of $500,000.00 GST included for the Contract
    Period for both Zones.  A Bidder may bid on one or both Zones;
    each Zone will be evaluated separately with up to two (2)
    Contracts being awarded; and a single Bidder may be awarded more
    than one Contract.
    
    The period of the Contract is from date of Contract to 31 May
    2017 inclusive, with an option to extend an additional one-year
