    This amendment includes bidder questions and Canada’s responses, modification to the Statement of Work at Annex A and the Technical Evaluation Criteria at Annex D, it also extends the solicitation closing period and the bidder enquiry period.
    
    Intial solicitation notice: 
    
    To design, deliver, install, calibrate, test, provide operator training, maintenance and repair services of “turn-key” automated Vertical Lift System (VLS) Module(s) for the Department of National Defense (DND) at CFB Esquimalt within the Colwood Building C66, Victoria BC in accordance with the requirement detailed in Annex A. 
    
    Phase 1 VLS Module(s) delivery, installation and operator training must be completed to the satisfaction of the DND Project Authority by no later than February 25, 2022 (MANDATORY).
    
    Optional Goods and/or Services:
    On an as and when requested basis the Contractor must design, install and deliver one or more, or all of the items or services defined in Annex A herein in accordance with the Annex B Basis of Payments. The optional items may only be activated via Task Authorization, if applicable. 
    The VLS modules must be designed, delivered, installed and activated in accordance with this Statement of Work with the exception of specifications detailed under Section 3.3. as the required storage volume, drawings, exact location within the warehouse and delivery dates will be defined in the applicable Task Authorization.
    Optional goods may be situated anywhere within the confines of Colwood Building 66.
    
    Corrective maintenance and repair services will be performed on an “as and when requested” basis in accordance with requirement and the Task Authorization (TA) process detailed herein. The TA process will also support the purchase of additional goods and services related to the modification and/or expansion of the VLS Module(s).
    
    The period of the Contract is for one (1) year from the date of contract award. The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract by up to eight (8) additional one year period(s) under the same conditions. The Contractor agrees that, during the extended period of the Contract, it will be paid in accordance with the applicable provisions as set out in the Basis of Payment.
    
    The requirement does not offer exchange rate fluctuation risk mitigation.
    
    The responsive bid with the highest combined rating of technical merit and price will be recommended for award of a contract.
