    Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage physical distancing, the bid receiving unit in Winnipeg will remain open but with limited staff and limited hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 11 am (local time).
    
    Due to limited staff available, bidders are strongly encouraged to transmit their bids electronically using the epost Connect service instead of any of the other methods of bid delivery that are available should the solicitation allow.

    The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement for the supply, delivery and installation of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) truck caps and bed slides for four (4) commercial pattern pick-up trucks (2018, Ford F250) in Calgary, Alberta.
    
    1. General
    
    1.1. The Contractor must supply and install the truck caps and bed slides in accordance with the following:
    a) The Contractor must perform all installation services at the Contractor facility where:
    i. The Contractor must pick-up the vehicle at the identified Government of Canada facility and return it to the same location.
    ii. All costs pertaining to the pick-up and return of the vehicle are the responsibility of the Contractor.
    iii. Contractor’s resources must have the appropriate driver’s license, in accordance with the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS), to drive the identified vehicles.
    
    1.2. Upon completion of the work, notify the identified user that the work is ready for inspection, and arrange for an inspection date/time at their facility;
    
    1.3. Upon completion of the inspection, rectify any flaws or omissions noted by the authorized unit representative. Canada reserves the right to request a second inspection at their discretion in the case of any major flaws or omissions;
    
    1.4. Upon completion of the inspection and approval by the unit representative, return the vehicle to the unit in the same serviceable condition on the same or following business day during business hours (Monday to Thursday 0900 hrs to 1600 hrs); and
    
    1.5. Any modification performed on any vehicle must not render the vehicle illegal to operate on Canadian roadways in accordance with the CMVSS.
    
    The requirement is subject to the provisions of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).
    
    This bid solicitation allows bidders to use the epost Connect service provided by Canada Post Corporation to transmit their bid electronically. Bidders must refer to Part 2 entitled Bidder Instructions, and Part 3 entitled Bid Preparation Instructions, of the bid solicitation, for further information.
