Background: The requested sequencer with next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies will be used for the six-row and hulless barley breeding program as well as the crop production pathology program at the Brandon Research Centre (BRC). Currently, there is no sequencer available at BRC to support ongoing molecular genetic research. An onsite sequencer will provide improved capacity and productivity for the barley breeding and pathology programs at BRC. In addition, the breeding programs relocating to Brandon from the Cereal Research Centre in Winnipeg will share this equipment. The purchase of a sequencer that provides NGS technology is essential to support unprecedented progress in research. This PWGSC office provides procurement services to the public in English. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
