    Contract Paramedic services are required by Health Canada (HC),
    First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) Edmonton, Alberta. 
    
    The scope of the work comprises the Contractor to provide
    contract Paramedics for services to First Nations people in
    communtities of Fox Lake, Garden River, and Jean D'Or Alberta.
    All paramedics must possess a current registration with the
    Alberta College of Paramedics, which allows them to practice on
    the province of Alberta as an Emergency Medical
    Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P). All paramedics will be expected to
    perform paramedic duties in accordance with the Paramedic
    Competency Profile identified herein. Each paramedic must have a
    minimum of three (3) years continuous work experience. All
    paremedics must have a valid driver's and/or be able to legally
    operate a motor vehicle in the province of Alberta. 
    
    The Contractor must have the capacity to provide a minimum of
    eight (8) contract Paramedics at all times during the period of
    the contract. The Contractor msut provide services of the
    Contract Paramedics identified in their proposal throughout the
    duration of the contract.
    
    The period of the contract id for one (1) year, with two (2)
    additional one (1) year periods under the same conditions.

    requirement. For additional information consult Part 6 -

    Resulting Contract Clauses. 
    
    This procurement is set aside under the Federal government's
    Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business. 
    
    This procurement is set aside from the international trade
    agreements under provisions each has for set asides for small
    and minority businesses. Futher to Article 1802 Agreeement on
    Internal Trade (AIT), AIT does not apply to this procurement.
    
    As per the Integrity Provisions under scetion 01 of Standard
    Instructions 2003 and 2004 bidders must provide a list of all
    owners and/or Directors and other associated information as
    required.

    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
    procurement.
