The Department of Fisheries and Oceans is engaged with
Environment Canada and the Department of National Defense on the
research, implementation and operation of environmental
prediction systems under a collaboration agreement entitled
Canadian Network of Coupled Environmental PredicTion Systems
(CONCEPTS).  As part of this initiative DFO is contributing to
the development of an oceanographic data assimilation capability
for the oceans around Canada.
DFO is looking for the development of a regional altimetry
demonstration data product for the Canadian Shelves in eastern
Canada for use in the CONCEPTS regional ocean forecast system.
