Work Period 1. Work must commence and be completed as follows: Commence: 3 January 2013 Complete: 15 March 2013 2. By submitting a bid, the Bidder certifies that they have sufficient material and human resources allocated or available and that the above work period is adequate to both complete the known work and absorb a reasonable amount of unscheduled work. Bidders Conference and Viewing Optional Site Visit - Vessel It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a tour of the work site. The site visit will held at Prince Rupert BC on 29 Nov 2012 beginning at 0900 hrs. Bidders are required to communicate with the Contracting Authority at least ten (10) day(s) before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form. Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. Destination The work shall be performed by the Contractor at the Institute for Ocean Sciences, 9860 West Saanich Road, Sidney BC. Sourcing Strategy The sourcing strategy related to this procurement will be limited to suppliers in Canada, in accordance with the Shipbuilding Procurement Policy (19/12/96) subject to the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT). This procurement is exempt from NAFTA [see Chapter 10, Annex 1001.2b, paragraph 1 (a)] and from the WTO-AGP (see Annex 4). Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
