Line 1, Tall Ship Sail Training
2.1. The Department of National Defence (DND) - Royal Canadian Sea Cadets (RCSC) has designated Sea Cadet Tall Ship Deployments (SCTD) as means by which Canadian Youth involved in the RCSC develop individual and team skills, self-reliance, esteem, transferable skills sets, and to build upon Canada’s nautical heritage.

3. Objective: At-sea Tall Ship sail training for 61 Sea Cadets and Canadian Forces Officers during the March 13 -17, 2017 period in the Victoria, Gulf Islands, and Strait of Georgia area.  

4. Scope: 

4.1. The supplier must provide a voyage on 1 (one) or 2 (two) tall ships for no more than 57 (fifty-seven) Sea Cadets and 4 (four) Canadian Forces officers on March 13-17, 2017 as well as offer 2 option years for February to March timeframe in both 2018 and 2019. The voyage must be done in the Victoria - Gulf Islands - Strait of Georgia area and include stops at a variety of ports/anchorages, with visiting trips at minimum 2 (two) ports (other than designated home port). Three meals per day, snacks and heated accommodation on the ship(s) must be included. During the voyage, the supplier will provide a training program that includes seamanship, sailing, and navigation.
