    Statement of Work
    
    (a)   To Carry out  the removal and installation of new white
    metal with final  re-surfacing of eight (8) main electric motors
    bearing for  the  HMCS Victoria  for the Department of National
    Defence (DND) in accordance with the associated Technical
    Specifications detailed in the Statement of Work and Project
    Management Services attached as Annexes A and H. For
    specifications, drawings, test sheets, annexes and appendices,
    bidders are requested to contact the Contracting Authority
    identified in the bid solicitation.
    
    (b)   any approved unscheduled work not covered in the above
    paragraph (a).
    
    Quality System requirement:
    		ISO 9001:2008 - Quality management systems
    
    Bidders' Conference:
    A Bidders' Conference will be held at Fleet Maintenance Facility
    Cape Breton
    Department of National Defence, PO Box 17000, Station Forces,
    Victoria, BC V9A 7N2,  on September 25, 2012. All bidders are to
    check at the yard gate and have photo identification. The
    bidders will be escorted to the bid conference room. All bidders
    are be present at the gate 15 minutes prior the conference set
    time.
    
    The conference will begin at 1000, in Building D250 (FMFCB), 2nd
    floor Conference Room.
    
    The sourcing strategy related to this work is  subject to the
    Agreement on Internal Trade. The work is exempt from the North
    American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), see Chapter Ten Annex
    1001.2b Paragraph 1, and the World Trade Organization Agreement
    on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), see Annex 4.
    
    Equipment viewing:
    		After the Bidder conference, equipment viewing will proceed at
    Door 14 Building 250 Dockyard. The equipment viewing will allow
    bidders to view the bearing set configuration.
    
    Multiples Deliveries:
    		1)   Deliveries:
    a) 	First delivery: 4 (four) bearing sets must be ready for pick
    up on or before prior  October 26, 2012.
    b) 	Second delivery: 4 (four) bearing sets must be ready for
    pick on or before prior November 16, 2012
    
    
    
    Sourcing Strategy:
    
    The sourcing strategy related to this work (GSIN JX3110) is 
    subject to the Agreement on Internal Trade. The work is exempt
    from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), see
    Chapter Ten Annex 1001.2b Paragraph 1, and the World Trade
    Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), see
    Annex 4

    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
    procurement.
