REQUIREMENT To carry out the design, construction, test, trial and delivery of two (1 ) 8.4. - 8.6 M Open Console T-Top Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) Optioanl Goods and/or Services: Option to acquire one (1) 8.0 to 8.5 meters Rigid Hull Inflatable boat with trailer, as described at the Annex A of the Contract under the same conditions and at the prices and/or rates stated in the Contract. Mission Statement: Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) are used extensively as auxiliary craft for the CCG Fleet of vessels, as well as operating independently to carry out various program-related activities from shore-based facilities and trailers. 1. The primary mission is fisheries management through catch monitoring and enforcement, including environmental response, search and rescue, emergency boat duties. 2. The vessel must be configured as a T-Top and Shock seating equipped open RIB with an open deck accessible by side decks around the console. The vessel will be used to conduct conservation branch operations. The vessel must have an all weather capability to Beaufort force 8. It is desirable that this vessel has a high-speed capability of at least 40 knots. Utilization: The craft must be capable of being ship-borne or shore-based: launched and recovered by stern ramp, davits or other means of hoisting such as derricks/cranes utilizing bridle; These craft will be primarily shore-based and will be launched and recovered by a trailer or deployed from a shore facility dock, and occasionally lifted aboard support ships. DELIVERY Fabrication and delivery of these vessels with trailers to their destinations are requested by July 30, 2014. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VESSEL Length overall between 8.4 to 8.6 able to carry: crew of 4 = 450 kg Maximum capacity to be minimum 10 persons Fuel = 900 litres in two tank(s), (700 kg) Equipment & supplies = 700 kg Payload capacity to be minimum 1000 kg, / 2200 lb. in addition to full fuel MANDATORY CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS1. 1. Transport Canada Marine Safety Regulation TP 1332 "Construction Standards for Small Vessels", which incorporate references to ABYC standards for equipment such as fuel tanks and fuel systems, as well as tank space ventilation, and ISO standards for stability, loading capacity, etc. as delegated to ISO 12217-1 and then to ISO 6185-3 for RIBs over 6 M.. 2. TP 1332 referenced ISO 6185-3 will require that full structural (drop tests), and stability testing must be arranged for this vessel (unless previously tested), as described in ISO 6185-3, near the completion of construction to verify compliance. Superior IMO testing certificates are acceptable substitutes. IT is REQUIRED that the vessel be verified as a RIB by the ISO definition of containing 1.5 times the weight of the vessel in flotation displacement 3. Canadian Standards Association C22.2 NO. 183.2-M1983 (R1999) "Standards for D.C. Electrical Installations on Boats and ABYC 'E' electrical standards."ransport Canada Marine Safety Regulation TP 1324 "Coated Fabrics".
