Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: Attachment: None Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: RCMP- FAB & DEL 5.0-5.33M ALUMINUM JET BOATS WITH TRAILERS SUMMARY: The Statement of work is as follows: a. Carry out the design, construction, test, trial and delivery of two (2) 5.0 to 5.33 m Aluminium Jet boats with trailers for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in accordance with the associated Technical Specifications detailed in the Statement of Work and Project Management Services attached as Annexes A and H. OPTIONAL GOODS: The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to acquire two (2) additionnmal 5.0 to 5.3 M jet boat with trailers, described at Annex A of the Contract under the same conditions and at the prices and/or rates stated in the Contract. The option may only be exercised by the Contracting Authority and will be evidenced, for administrative purposes only, through a contract amendment. The Contracting Authority may exercise the option within 12 months after contract award DELIVERY: Delivery of the boats and all other deliverables are required by the contract to be at destination on or before 15 May, 2015. MISSON STATEMENT: Each vessel will be supporting the various policing operations within the detachment including law enforcement, transport of personnel, search and rescue. Patrol area will be within the various remote lakes and rivers thru out Manitoba and Alberta. Vessels will be shore based, launched and recovered by trailer, or deployed from all types of ramps . PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VESSEL: 1. Length: = 5.0 M to 5.33 M maximum. 2. Crew of 3 = 300 kg 3. Equipment & supplies = 200 kg MANDATORY CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS: 1. The vessel must be constructed and comply at a minimum with the current issue of Transport Canada TP 1332 "Construction Standards for Small Vessels" and American Bureau Yacht Council (ABYC) where applicable. 2. Canadian Standards Association C22.2 NO.183.2-M1983 (R1999) "Standards for D.C. Electrical Installations". 3. All aluminum welding must be performed by a company that is certified in accordance with CSA Standard W47.2M 1987, Certification for Fusion Welding of Aluminum, Division 2.1. 4. Safety equipment -TP 14070 "Small vessel Safety Guide" 5. Trailer - TP 13136 Federal Lighting Equipment Location Requirements TRADE AGREEMENTS: The sourcing strategy related to this procurement is subject to the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).
