Requirement Details Tendering Procedure: Selective Tendering This bid solicitation is issued only to suppliers who qualified in accordance with the conditions of Supply Arrangement EN966-1403053/D, EN966-1403053/E and EN966-1403053/F on Modernization of the Translation Bureau’s Directory of Linguistic Services suppliers for the Translation Bureau. Only suppliers who are pre-qualified under the Supply Arrangement EN966-1403053/D, EN966-1403053/E and EN966-1403053/F and have been issued a supply arrangement at the time this bid solicitation is issued, are eligible to bid for the following category: Field: Employment (EMP) Language: English to French Tier: 3 Amount of words per year: 2,000,000 Description of work: The Translation Bureau is an agency of Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) charged with supporting the Government of Canada in its efforts to provide services for, and communicate with, Canadians in the official language of their choice. This requirement is for translation services, from English into French, as and when requested, in the field of ’Employment (EMP)’’, for all federal departments and agencies served by the Translation Bureau. Nature of texts to be translated: Corporate and specialized documents on topics such as: - Human resource management; - Employment and social security. The types of documents to be translated include, but are not limited to, the following: work descriptions, statements of merit criteria competency profiles, minutes, news releases, briefing notes, decisions, PowerPoint presentations, correspondence, mandates, studies, reports, policies, guidelines, procedures, manuals, standards, discussion papers, parliamentary questions and answers, training courses, planning documents and legislation and regulation documents. Documents related, but not limited to, the implementation of legislation on employment and social development, such as the Employment Insurance Act, the Employment Equity Act, the Canadian Labour Code and the Canada Pension Plan. And among other things, minutes of meetings, press releases, speeches, speaking notes, briefing notes, questions and answers, reports, memoranda, training manuals, instructions for various applications (for example, applications for a social insurance number, pension benefits or Employment Insurance) and documents for target audiences such as migratory workers, seniors and students, documents on the labour market, students loans and recognition of foreign skills titles.
