    Description
    Trade Agreement: CETA / CFTA
Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid
    Competitive Procurement Strategy: N/A - P&A/LOI Only
    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No
    Nature of Requirements:

The Supply Arrangement (SA) is a contractual tool used by the Translation Bureau (the Bureau) in its day-to-day operations. The Bureau continues its efforts to ensure the quality of language services and to support the economic vitality of the language sector in Canada. It is in this context that the SA's terms and conditions were reviewed and updated, in collaboration with the Acquisitions Branch (AB), following several months of meetings with key stakeholders in the language industry. The purpose of this update is to simplify procurement practices and better align the Government of Canada's requirements with industry capacity. Continuous improvement of the Supply Arrangement and regular feedback from clients and suppliers is essential to keep pace with evolving translation needs.

Accordingly, the purpose of this request for information (RFI) is to seek the views/feedback of firms on the proposed changes to the Request for Supply Arrangement (RFSA). Interested firms are being asked to provide feedback on the proposed approach. This feedback will be considered in the development of the formal RFSA, which will be used to solicit bids as part of this initiative.

This is not a bid solicitation. This RFI will not result in the award of any contract. Therefore, potential suppliers of any goods or services described in this RFI should not reserve stock or facilities, or allocate resources, as a result of any information contained in this RFI. Nor will this RFI result in the creation of any source list. Thus, whether or not any potential supplier responds to this RFI will not preclude that supplier from participating in any future procurement. Furthermore, reference to goods or services in this RFI will not necessarily result in the procurement of such goods or services. This RFI is simply intended to solicit feedback from the industry with respect to its contents.

This RFI includes a draft RFSA. This draft is a preliminary version of the RFSA. Therefore, amendments may be made to subsequent versions of the RFSA.

Canada reserves the right to arrange further consultation activities as a result of this Request for Information. A public notice will be issued during the posting of this RFI in order to indicate to suppliers if other activities will be planned.

Suppliers’ participation in the other activities is voluntary. Canada will not cover any costs or expenses incurred by suppliers in connection with participation in focus groups.

    Delivery Date: Above-mentioned

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.

Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
