TRANSLATION, REVISION AND TRANSCRIPTION SERVICES IN ABORIGINAL
    AND FOREIGN LANGUAGES

    Contracting Authority:	Eric Labelle
    Email: Eric.Labelle@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is for the
Translation Bureau to ascertain whether Canadian or foreign
companies are able to meet the total Aboriginal and foreign
    languages demand that is outsourced.
In order to possibly ask the private sector to take over all or
part of the delivery of services described in Section 4 -
Statement of Requirement, Canada is requesting information about
current service providers of translation and revision in
    Aboriginal and foreign languages.
The main objectives of this RFI are to:
    a)	provide the industry with an early opportunity to assess and
comment on the Bureau's requirements in order to maximize best
    value to Canada if a bid solicitation is posted;
    b)	determine the capability of suppliers to provide services
    described in this RFI;
    c)	solicit comments and recommendations from stakeholders on any
issue that would impact a supplier's ability to fulfill the
    requirements of the Bureau; and
    d)	collect suggestions from suppliers regarding the evaluation
criteria that should be included in a potential bid solicitation.
This RFI is not a bid solicitation and will not result in the
award of any contract. Therefore, potential suppliers of any
goods and services described in this RFI should not earmark
goods or facilities, nor allocate resources, as a result of any
information contained in this RFI. Nor will this RFI result in
the creation of a list of suppliers. Therefore, whether or not a
potential supplier responds to this RFI will not preclude that
supplier from participating in any future procurement process.
Also, this RFI will not necessarily result in the procurement of
any of the goods and services that it describes. It is simply
intended to solicit feedback from the industry with respect to
    its content.
Nothing in this RFI shall be construed as a commitment from
Canada to issue a bid solicitation for this project. Canada may
use any non-proprietary information obtained as part of this
review or in the preparation of a future bid solicitation.
Canada shall not be bound by anything stated in this document
and reserves the right to change, at any time, any or all parts
of the requirements, as it deems necessary. Canada also reserves
the right to revise its procurement approach, as it deems
appropriate, either based on information submitted in response
to this RFI or for any other reason.
Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.

    Delivery Date: Above-mentioned

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
    procurement.

Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
