This bid solicitation is issued in accordance with the conditions of Supply Arrangements EN966-140305/D, EN966-140305/E, EN966-140305/F, EN966-140305/G and EN966-140305/H on Modernization of the Translation Bureau’s Directory of Linguistic Services suppliers for the Translation Bureau for services in the National Capital Region. 

Only suppliers who are pre-qualified and have been issued a supply arrangement on EN966-140305/D, EN966-140305/E, EN966-140305/F, EN966-140305/G and EN966-140305/H at the time this bid solicitation is issued are eligible to bid for the following category:

Description of work: 

The Translation Bureau is an agency of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC)charged with supporting the Government of Canada in its efforts to provide services for, and communicate with, Canadians in the official language of their choice. 

This requirement is for translation services, from English into French, as and when requested, in the field of «Parliamentary Proceedings », for all federal departments and agencies served by the Translation Bureau.

Nature of texts to be translated
The Contractor shall provide translation services from English to French for the Proceedings of the Parliamentary Committees of the Translation and Terminology Center of the Translation Bureau.

Work must be completed on Saturdays and Sundays. Translation delays are very short (36 hours and 96 calendar hours depending on the priority of the text). The supplier must therefore be able to meet these deadlines.

This is the translation of the proceedings of the parliamentary committees, including the presentations of the witnesses invited to appear. These texts therefore require a good knowledge of spoken language, English and French idiomatic expressions and political and economic news.

The texts to be translated and the return of the translated texts will normally be sent by e-mail in the case of the texts of the Senate and automatically by the ATD in the case of the texts of the Chamber.

Translations must be written in an oratorical style, and adapted to the speaker's language level.
