Requirement Details: Tendering Procedure: Selective Tendering This bid solicitation is issued in accordance with the conditions of Supply Arrangement EN966-140305/D, EN966-140305/E, EN966-140305/F EN966-140305/G and EN966-140305/GH on Modernization of the Translation Bureau’s Directory of Linguistic Services suppliers for the Translation Bureau for services in the National Capital Region. Only suppliers who are pre-qualified and have been issued a supply arrangement EN966-140305/D, EN966-140305/E, EN966-140305/F, EN966-140305/G and EN966-140305/H at the time this bid solicitation is issued are eligible to bid for the following category: Field: Military Language: English to French Tier: 3 The following SA holders have been invited to submit a proposal: 1. CLS LEXI-TECH LTD. 2. SONOVISION CANADA Description of work: The Translation Bureau is an agency of Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) charged with supporting the Government of Canada in its efforts to provide services for, and communicate with, Canadians in the official language of their choice. This requirement is for translation services, from English into French, as and when requested, in the field of Military (MIL), for all federal departments and agencies served by the Translation Bureau. Nature of texts to be translated Corporate documents on topics such as: - Activities, role, structure, exercises, operations and missions of the Canadian Army, the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Royal Canadian Navy - Infantry, armoured corps, artillery and military engineering - Planning and carrying out the movement and maintenance of the armed forces (purchasing, transportation, procurement, disposal of materiel, hospitalization of staff, search and rescue, construction and maintenance of facilities, delivery of services) - Deployment of military forces in Canada and abroad - Military doctrine - Protection measures and evacuation activities during peacetime or wartime - Activities of Cadets of Canada, the Reserve and the Regular Force The types of documents to be translated include, but are not limited to, the following: Reports, publications, memos, newsletters, articles for Defense publications, forms, political messages, guidelines, procedures, agendas, minutes, press releases, briefing notes , decisions, directives, committee reports, evaluation reports, PowerPoint presentations, posters, photo captions, briefing notes, fact sheets, correspondence, speeches or presentations, mandates, studies, analyzes, manuals, standards, procedures, discussion papers, guidance documents, communications plans, surveys, evaluations, minutes of meetings and symposia, parliamentary questions and answers, training courses, planning documents, , as well as legislative and regulatory documents. There will be texts on the air force, the army and the navy. The translation style required is usually administrative.
