The intent of this Request for Information (RFI) is to provide industry with an early opportunity to assess and comment on requirements, procurement strategy and evaluation criteria in order to maximize best value to Canada, while reducing potential problems when the bid solicitation is posted.

The Directorate of Air Simulation & Training (D Air Sim & Trg) of the Department of National Defence (DND) has an upcoming requirement for instructional training services in support of the CF-188 pilots using a CF-188 simulation training system called the Advanced Distributed Combat Training System (ADCTS).

Security requirements will be in accordance with the clauses as set out in the Security Clause Instructions. Resultant work requires restriction to Canadian-eyes only.

Whether or not any potential supplier responds to this RFI will not preclude that supplier from participating in any future procurement. Also, the procurement of any of the services described in this RFI will not necessarily follow this RFI. This RFI is simply intended to solicit feedback from industry with respect to the matters described in this RFI.

The issuance of this RFI is not to be considered in any way a commitment by the Government of Canada, nor as authority to potential respondents to undertake any work that could be charged to Canada.  This RFI is not to be considered as a commitment to issue a subsequent solicitation or award contract(s) for the work described herein.
