Nature of Requirements: 

Canada has employees and their families who are stationed throughout North America. Historically, approximately 15,000 employees are relocated to and from North American locations, including Hawaii, Alaska and Mexico each year. Each relocation may have several service components (e.g. ground shipment, air shipment, sea shipment, long term storage), the majority of which is ground transportation. This requirement is for the provision of North American Household Goods and Effects Relocation Services (NHGRS) and Private Motor Vehicle (PMV) relocation services.

The NHGRS will be provided to:
Department of National Defence (DND); 
Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP); and
Central Removal Services (CRS) of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), on behalf of all other departments and agencies.

The consolidation of relocation services requirements will provide Canada a turnkey solution and key management oversight for the delivery of NHGRS to its employees.

Canada is contemplating awarding more than 1 contract resulting from this procurement initiative.

Canada is seeking industry feedback on the document included in this Request for Information to help achieve efficient and cost-effective relocation services.

This initiative will support the relocation policies of the Canadian Forces Integrated Relocation Program Directive, the National Joint Council (NJC) Relocation Directive, the Relocation Policy for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and the Foreign Service Directives.
