    La décision 2017-182 du Conseil de la radiodiffusion et des télécommunications canadiennes (CRTC) ordonne aux fournisseurs des services de télécommunications au Canada de moderniser leurs réseaux. Cette modernisation implique la mise en place de communications dédiées au service du 9-1-1 de prochaine génération (PG) et basées sur la technologie IP (Internet Protocol) de bout en bout jusqu’aux centres d’appels de la sécurité publique (CASP) primaires et secondaires. Le 9-1-1 PG est un service téléphonique d’urgence qui va remplacer le service 9-1-1 actuel ou E9-1-1. Dans la décision 2015-531, le CRTC a déterminé que le système 9-1-1 PG du Canada devra utiliser la norme d’architecture i3 de la National Emergency Number Association (NENA) comme base de référence. La Corporation d’urgences-santé désire procèder à un appel d’offres pour l’acquisition, l’intégration, la configuration, le déploiement, la formation, le soutien et la maintenance d’une solution intégrée, en mode clé en main, de prise d’appels et d’enregistrements multimédia. La solution doit répondre aux besoins opérationnels actuels et futurs du Centre de communication santé (CCS)des sites primaires et secondaires.
