    Description
    Le bâtiment a été construit en deux phases, soit l’une en 1975 et l’autre en 1987. Une modification de la chaufferie a eu lieu où les chaudières au mazout ont été remplacées par les chaudières électriques. La partie construite en 1975 utilise un réseau hydronique d’origine pour assurer son chauffage, tandis que la partie datant de 1987 utilise des plinthes électriques dans chaque local. D’autres améliorations ponctuelles ont été faites au bâtiment, notamment la mise à niveau d’une partie de l’éclairage, des plafonds et l’ajout de thermopompes locales. Le bâtiment est généralement en bonne condition et il est recommandé de le garder en opération. Le bâtiment opère dans une région où la main-d’œuvre se fait rare et le maintien du réseau hydronique vieillissant est de plus en plus difficile. Techniquement, il est possible d’éliminer le réseau hydronique et de convertir ce système de chauffage par des plinthes électriques standards, tel que dans la partie datant de 1987. Ceci rendra l’entretien du système de chauffage plus facile et rendra le bâtiment plus résilient.
