Description
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation by the Government of Saskatchewan (GOS), Ministry of Environment (Ministry) to prospective Proponents to provide Submissions for the provision of Consulting Services for the development of a final Corrective Action Plan to 100% engineering design for remediation of physical and environmental hazards at the Western Nuclear and Vista abandoned mine sites respectively located at Hanson Lake and Creighton, SK as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A).
The Successful Supplier will prepare a proposal to advance Corrective Action Plans to 100% engineering design, based on the preliminary Corrective Action Plans to 60% engineering designs for the Western Nuclear and Vista sites, prepared in 2021 and 2022. Submissions that provide alternative solutions or strategies to those outlined in the 60% Corrective Action Plans may be considered by the ministry. Subsequent Owner's Engineering services may be supplied during future execution of the Corrective Action Plans at the sites under separate contract and will be based on the requirements set out in the 100% Corrective Action Plan designs. The Proponent should provide details of its capacity to provide such services in its proposal.
Additional Information
This competition has been cancelled because: The ministry has made the decision to cancel RFP 8360. The proposals received did not align with the ministry’s expected timelines and budgets. As such, the ministry is reevaluating its approach to addressing remaining risks at the Western Nuclear and Vista abandoned mine sites. The ministry recognizes that significant efforts were made in preparing the proposal submissions and apologizes for any inconveniences the RFP cancellation has caused
