This Request for Bid (RFB) is an invitation by the Government of Saskatchewan (GOS) to prospective Proponents to provide Submissions for the provision of wildfire mitigation work in northern Saskatchewan, as further described in the RFB Particulars (Appendix A).
The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) is entering into year four (4) of a nine (9) year program and has identified 13 communities that require forest vegetation thinning and brush pile burning services across Saskatchewan. Maps and images of the projects at the 13 communities are provided in Appendix E – Diagrams.
SPSA delivers wildfire prevention, detection, monitoring and suppression to protect people, property and forests at risk and prevent personal, business and provincial infrastructure losses.It promotes awareness of wildfire risk and associated prevention measures and maintains ground resources, an aerial wildfire fighting fleet, and tower wildfire detection and weather networks.
This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada.
