The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has a requirement for the provision of Swoop® - Point Of Care Magnetic Resonance Imaging system .The purpose of this Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is to signal the SHA’s intention to award a contract for these goods and/or services to UpCare Partners & Associates Inc. Before awarding a contract, however, the SHA is providing other suppliers with the opportunity to demonstrate that they are capable of satisfying the requirements set out in this Notice, by submitting a statement of capabilities during the ten business day posting period.
In the event the SHA receives any written statements of capabilities, the SHA will conduct an evaluation of such received statements. If, as a result of such evaluation, the SHA determines that one or more suppliers other than UpCare Partners & Associates Inc. are capable of meeting the SHA’s
requirements, the SHA will conduct a further competitive process before making any final award. Such further competitive process may include a publicly issued Request for Proposal or a Request for Proposal issued only to UpCare Partners & Associates Inc.and the suppliers the SHA has determined are capable of meeting the SHA’s requirements.
If no written statements of capabilities are received by the SHA, or if the SHA determines based on its evaluation that no supplier who has submitted a written statement of capabilities is capable of meeting the SHA’s requirements, The SHA intends to proceed to award the contract to UpCare Partners & Associates Inc.and no further procurement process will be undertaken by the SHA.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
The equipment must:
- Licensed by Health Canada
- Provide MR imaging of the head including T1, T2 and FLAIR sequences
- Able to operate in an intensive care environment without disrupting other equipment
- Provide high quality images at a lower magnetic field strength
- Have the ability to be transported directly to the patient bedside
- Have the ability to plug into an ordinary wall outlet
- Be ready to scan in less than 2 minutes from delivery to patient bedside
- Be controlled by wireless tablet
- Include advanced reconstruction software

The estimated contract period will be 5 month(s).
