The City of Saskatoon seeks to retain the services of a General Contractor for the renovation and expansion of the Harry Baily Aquatic Center. The scope of the renovations are massive due to the age of the facility. Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre was originally constructed in 1975, with an addition to provide the Leisure Pool in 1986. There are several areas which require renovation. The 50-meter concrete pool basin requires complete removal and replacement. The building requires removal of all exterior finishes and a new vapor barrier / insulation / exterior wall cladding package. All flat roofs will receive new insulation and membranes. The washrooms and change rooms are to be modernized to provide accessible and inclusive spaces for patrons to utilize. The expansion will provide more area for public use, as well an enlarged and improved Lifeguard station.
