The City of Saskatoon (CoS) Fire Department is in the process of procuring a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system that is compatible with NG-911 standards. This new CAD system will replace the existing system and enable enhanced emergency call handling and response capabilities. It will support the transition from the old system to the new NG-911 infrastructure, allowing for improved caller location precision and the integration of new applications such as text, video, and photos. The upgraded CAD system will ensure that the CoS Fire Department is equipped with the latest technology to effectively respond to emergency situations and provide a more efficient and comprehensive emergency response service.
