You must submit your response and all required supporting documentation by 2:00 PM EDT on May 4, 2022. Natural Resources Canada is leading the implementation of the Flood Hazard Identification and Mapping Program (FHIMP) as proposed in Budget 2021. The FHIMP is a cost-shared program with provinces and territories to complete flood maps for higher-risk areas. On April 13, 2022 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm EDT, Canada will host an “Industry Engagement Day” virtually to present an overview of the Flood Hazard Identification and Mapping Program (FHIMP). This Industry Engagement Day session is open to all interested stakeholders, suppliers and associations involved in this Industry. Canada will engage Industry in a discussion of the current scope of the program. Canada is looking for feedback from Industry with regards to: a) Water resources engineering firms’ capacity and readiness to participate in the program; b) The impacts this program may have on the flood hazard mapping industry.
