Noise Control Engineering, LLC (NCE) is a premier acoustical engineering consulting firm that specializes in noise and vibration analysis and control for the shipbuilding and marine industries. Our clients include shipyards, naval architects, government agencies, vessel owners, vessel operators, and equipment vendors. Since 1991, we have provided acoustical design and measurement services for hundreds of marine projects, including the world’s quietest research vessels, ferries, workboats, naval combatants, auxiliaries, small and large high-speed crafts, ice breakers, submersibles, and other specialized vessels and offshore structures. NCE assisted with the NSFRV preliminary design. For Detail Design, Construction, and Delivery we would continue to develop and update noise and vibration models to ensure the limits are met. We can also assist with construction inspections and testing at sea trials. NCE has extensive experience in developing quiet designs for research vessels.
