Summer Tree Planting Implementation and Regeneration Delay Surveys in the Peace - Liard Business Area. Covering a project size of ~1.6 million trees scheduled to be planted between July 5th, 2024, and
August 9th, 2024.
General work area includes Chetwynd and Hudson’s Hope. Implementation activities include, but are not limited to, contract monitoring, 760 pay plots, regen data collection and reporting, reconnaissance, GPS’ing and lay-out activities. Twenty-three (23) blocks encompassing ~890ha are planned, with nine (9) blocks requiring helicopter support for planting operations.
The contract will require a range of qualified professionals and technical staff working in various conditions including isolated areas.

March 25th, 2024. If questions are received, a Question & Answer document will be posted to BC Bid by March 28th, 2024.

The lowest priced or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
Be aware that BCTS has made changes to its EMS and SFM programs to meet the updated 2022 Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management Standard. Changes impacting BCTS clients include new training requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, SFI Awareness documents, and new Indigenous rights awareness training, as well as changes to training frequency and a new continuing education component). In addition, note changes to EMS/SFM Environmental Field Procedures and Incident Reporting Procedures which occurred June 1st, 2022.
Supervisors and workers will need to be familiar with these changes prior to commencement of operations.
