    Description of the Requirement:
In December 2018, new legislation created the department of Women and Gender Equality Canada, transforming the former agency, Status of Women Canada, into an official department of the Government of Canada. This change modernizes and formalizes, in law, the roles of the Minister and the Department.

Women and Gender Equality Canada requires the services to provide support to the Manager of the Center of Expertise Internal Controls on Grants and Contributions (G&C) Management for four to six (4-6) selected Contribution Agreements financial audits per year, through the Professional Audit Support Services (PASS) Supply Arrangement (SA) method of supply, for Stream 8 – Recipient/Contribution Agreement Audit - with the applicable resource categories, all at Senior level, i.e. Partner Managing Director, Project Manager/Leader and Senior Auditor, in accordance with the Evaluation criteria grid, as part of the bid solicitation package, attached.

This contract will support WAGE to ensure proper Risk Management strategies.

As a result of this change the department has seen a significant budget increase in program funding leading to an increase in Contribution Agreements and the need for support in conducting audits.
