    Description

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) requires professional services and expertise that involve helping design a process, develop communication materials and deliver additional facilitation for up to 7 initiative-wide two-hour virtual engagement sessions and up to 11 half-day hybrid engagement sessions between Terrestrial Cumulative Effects Initiative (TCEI)-eligible Indigenous groups and federal departments, which include ECCC, Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) and Natural Resources Canada (NRCan).

The contractor will help design an engagement process for the SoK products, develop communication materials and facilitate up to 7 virtual and 11 hybrid engagement sessions between GoC officials and TCEI-eligible Indigenous groups to optimize relationship building and knowledge sharing. The contractor will ensure that participating Indigenous groups feel heard and comfortable expressing their concerns, questions, and ideas throughout the session. The facilitator will plan, deliver and follow up on the engagement process in an inclusive and culturally sensitive manner.

The contractor will be responsible for ensuring an appropriate venue, and for all technical requirements associated with virtual and hybrid meetings. Because of the nature of hybrid meetings, the contractor will also be responsible for reimbursing Indigenous groups for their travel to the engagement sessions, based on Treasury Board directives.

    Contract duration

The estimated contract period will be 18 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2023/10/01.
