Replacement of Air Compressors at Four Regional Water Resource Recovery Facilities (WRRF) and Piping Upgrades at Kleinburg WRRF

ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS ONLY submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website , HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  Bids must be submitted and received by the Region no later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada. 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK - The Work includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of air compressors at Mount Albert WRRF, Sutton WRRF, Schomberg WRRF, Kleinburg WRRF; and the construction of new sludge piping, alum dosing points at Kleinburg WRRF. The work is further described in Appendix C – Form of Contract.

MEETING: A non-mandatory Bidder's site meeting will be held on Monday December 11, 2023, starting at 

• 9:00 a.m. at Sutton WRRF (5741 Black River Road, Sutton, ON L3Y 4X1),
  10:30 a.m. at Mount Albert WRRF (5866 Doane Road, Mount Albert, Town of Gwillimbury, ON L0G 1M0), 
  12:00 p.m. at Schomberg WRRF (5 Dillane Drive, Schomberg, ON L0G 1T0), 
  13:30 p.m. at Kleinburg WRRF (10299 Regional Road 27 Kleinburg, ON L4H 3N5)

Bidders attending a site visit / information meeting are required to wear the following Personal Protective Equipment while on site:

• Hard Hat
  Safety Visibility Vest
  Safety Footwear
  Hearing Protection.
• All bidders are encouraged to submit any questions to the Region using the ‘Submit a Question’ feature in the Bidding Website before or after the information meeting. Although the meeting is not mandatory it is highly recommended.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• DEPOSIT:  All Bids shall be accompanied by a digital Bid Bond in the amount of $75,000.00 and a digital Undertaking to Bond. The forms of Bid Bond and Undertaking to Bond acceptable to the Region are attached as Appendix E and F.
• CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION (CORTM): Any Bids received from Bidders who are not CORTM certified, who have not obtained CORTM equivalency or who have not submitted a valid Letter of Reciprocity shall be rejected from further consideration.
