    Description
    The National Capital Commission (NCC) is seeking the services of an experienced contractor for the provision of services and materials required for the sprinkler upgrade as described in the tender documents.
    
    The work forming part of this project shall include: 
    •	Correction of identified deficiencies. 
    •	Replacement of outdated sprinklers where shown. 
    •	Testing of exposed mechanical joints on system for leaks. 
    •	Creation of as-built drawings for the sprinkler systems where piping is accessible. Drawing shall indicate location and size of piping, drain valve, sprinklers and other components installed on the system.
    
    One contract will be awarded for which all work shall be completed no later than March 21, 2014
    
    MANDATORY SITE VISIT Bidders are invited to attend at their cost a mandatory site visit on November 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at NCC site office located on Rideau Hall grounds, access from Princess Road gate. Contractors shall confirm their attendance and names of those who will be attending at least 24 hours prior in order to gain site access with Ronald Drummond, by phone at 613-239-5678 ext. 4006 or by email at ronald.drummond@ncc-ccn.ca
    
    
    To be considered, your proposal must be received no later than 3 p.m. Ottawa time on December 4, 2013 at the National Capital Commission, 3rd Floor Service Centre, 40 Elgin Street in Ottawa, Canada, K1P 1C7, with a reference to tender file #NG249. 
    
    Faxed, email or late submissions will not be accepted. Tenders may be submitted in French or English.

Enquiries should be received no later than seven (7) calendar days prior to the date set for solicitation closing to allow sufficient time to provide a response. Enquiries received after that time may result in an answer not being provided. To ensure consistency and quality of the information provided to all Proponents, the Senior Contract Officer shall examine the content of the enquiry and shall decide whether or not to issue an amendment. All enquiries and other communications related to this proposal sent throughout the solicitation period are to be directed ONLY to the Senior Contract Officer named above. Non-compliance with this requirement during the solicitation period can, for that reason alone, result in disqualification of a tender.
    
    Note that amounts quoted in this tender are in Canadian dollars. Payment is net is 30 days.
    
    There is a public opening scheduled for December 4, 2013 in room 306 at 40 Elgin Street in Ottawa shortly after 3 p.m.
    
    This procurement process is subject to Chapter 5 of the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).
