Description
Requirement: The work requirements for this project will include the excavation of approximately 8,000 m3 of household wastes from the Old Garden River Dump, in the community of Garden River, AB. The waste must be transferred to a new landfill cell situated 3 Km west of the community of Garden River. The new landfill cell will be equipped with a composite lining and leachate management system and encapsulated following receipt of the Old Dump waste materials to significantly reduce the rate of water infiltration and generation of leachate. Project Timeline: The work must be completed on or before November 13, 2015. Optional Site Visit: Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held on July 30, 2015. The site visit will begin at 10:00 AM MDT at the Public Works office in Garden River, AB located near the airstrip. Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than July 28, 2015 at 3:00 PM MDT to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidder’s Teleconference: A bidders' teleconference will be held on July 31, 2015. The conference will begin at 09:00 AM MDT. Bidders MUST communicate with the Contracting Authority before the teleconference to confirm attendance no later than July 28, 2015. Contractor Selection: This Invitation to Tender contains mandatory bid criteria and optional bid criteria in order to provide socioeconomic benefits to the Little Red River Cree Nation. Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered. The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT). This Parks Canada office provides procurement services to the public in English. The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
