Sealed, signed tenders will be received up to 2:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time: September 10, 2015 for the attached services in accordance with the documents enclosed.

The onus is on the bidder to ensure that the bid is delivered on time to the location designated.

Any tender received after the above noted time will be considered late and will be returned to the sender unopened.  Tenders may be revised by email, letter or fax (613) 991-1297, provided the tender and revision(s) are both received prior to Tender Closing Time.

Nature of the Work:  

The work covered under this contract consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for the removal and disposal of existing road culverts, supply and installation of new culverts, removal and disposal of existing guide rails, supply and installation of new guide rails, upgrades to bridge wear surfaces, embankment stabilization with armour stone and rock backfill and upgrade road ditching. All works to take place on the Cape Race Access Road located near Portugal Cove South, NL. and all work to be done in strict accordance with the specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of contract.

Location of Work, Work site and Delivery Point:

The site is located at the Cape Race Access Road located north of Portugal Cove South, NL.

Start Date: Upon Contract Award

Completion Date: November 30, 2015

Bidders should note that all questions regarding this request for proposals must be submitted in writing, No Later Than September 4,  2015, 2 pm (14:00 Hours) EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME to the contract authority.  The department may be unable to respond to questions submitted after that date. 

Fisheries and Oceans Canada will not necessarily accept the lowest or any of the tenders received and reserves the right to reject any and all tenders received which shall be final and at the sole discretion of the Department.
