Description
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) requires the services of Detention Guards (formerly referred to as Guards and Matrons) on an as required basis to assist with duties as defined within this Statement of Work, which are related to the safety and well-being of persons incarcerated in the 4 RCMP detachment cells located in Nunatsiavut Newfoundland and Labrador. These locations include; Hopedale, Nain, Rigolet and Makkovik. The period of the RISO is one year from date of award with the option to extend 2 additional one year periods.
The requirement is subject to a preference for Canadian goods and/or services.

Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond. Inquiries made via telephone will not be responded to.
Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain tender documents through the Public Works and Government Services (PWGSC) Buy and Sell website. Amendments, if issued, will be available from the PWGSC Buy and Sell website. Firms that elect to base their bids on tender documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the tender calling authority of their intention to bid.
A bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation and meet all mandatory technical evaluation criteria to be declared responsive. The responsive bid with the lowest evaluated price will be recommended for award of a contract.
The Crown retains the right to negotiate with any suppliers on any procurement.
Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) and the Labrador Inuit Land Claim Agreement.
