Fort Amherst Retaining Walls Restoration and Repair, St. John’s NL

Sealed, signed tenders will be received up to 2:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time: February, 9^th 2016 for the attached services in accordance with the documents enclosed.

Any tender received after the above noted time will be considered late and will be returned to the sender unopened. Tenders may be revised by email, letter or fax (613) 991-1297, provided the tender and revision(s) are both received prior to Tender Closing Time.

Nature of the Work:

The work consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for retaining wall restoration and repair at Fort Amherst, St. John’s, NL, in strict accordance with specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract.

Location of Work, Work site and Delivery Point:

47 33’48.56 N and 52 40’49.43 W, at the end of Fort Amherst Road, St. John’s, NL.

A Mandatory Site Visit will be held on January 28^th 2016 at 1:00 pm NL time.

The site visit will occur over a one day period. Contractor is responsible for all costs associated with getting to/from the site. It is a requirement for all persons wishing to tender on this project to attend this meeting at the site to familiarize themselves fully with the scope of work and the tendering requirements. Bidders are asked to confirm their attendance with the Contracting Authority, Melissa Saumure at melissa.saumure@dfo-mpo.gc.ca. The Bidder’s Representative must sign an attendance list and attend the entire site visit, to have their bid submission considered responsive.

Please Note:

- If weather is poor on the scheduled site visit day, it will occur on the following day.

- A maximum of 2 persons per Contractor will be permitted entry into the building.

- Time allocated on site will be a maximum of 2 hours.

- 2 days advance notice is to be given to the Contracting Authority with respect to the company and individuals attending the visit.

Start Date: Upon Contract Award

Completion Date: All work to be completed by March 31^st, 2016

Bidders should note that all questions regarding this request for proposals must be submitted in writing, No Later Than February, 3^rd 2016, 2:00 pm EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME to the contract authority. The department may be unable to respond to questions submitted after that date.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada will not necessarily accept the lowest or any of the tenders received and reserves the right to reject any and all tenders received which shall be final and at the sole discretion of the Department.
